A Quiet Week

Monday was a stay at home and catch up on laundry day.  It was also a chance to rest up after a fun-filled weekend.  On Tuesday we usually head down to Cru for $5 pizza and $2 drafts with some neighbors.  We decided to shake it up a little and go to Nama for $5 tacos and $2.50 drafts.  The tacos are $5 all day for 2 pretty large tacos and are so good, possibly the best downtown.   It is worth the extra $1 for avocado.

The beer special is until  6:00 (happy hour) and only includes 2 of their draft beers, neither of which I love.  One option is Kirin Ichiban but I opted for the second choice of Shiner Bock.  The beer special at Cru is better…$2 for ANY draft beer. The food is excellent at both places.

Last night we took the dog for a walk and stopped by Flow for a beer.  I was anxious to see the new tap setup and it looks awesome.  I’m happy about having more draft options since so many of our dog walks take us there.  We have definitely summered at Flow this year.

We both had the Wiseacre Ananda IPA.  It was perfect for a humid afternoon.  It has a nice hop balance with citrus and tropical flavors.

I was also thrilled to learn that Brad will offer half pints!  I love the idea and wish more places did that.  The idea does seem to be growing in popularity.  Don’t forget to stop by on First Friday and check out the new taps.  They are also planning to untap Wiseacre Love Light.  There is an art exhibit along with Marc Denim Nelson.  I plan to be there hanging out with friends.  It should be a fun night, hope to see you there.
